Environmental Training and Advice

ADAS is working on behalf of Natural England to provide environmental training and advice to farmers and growers throughout England. Advice and training is focused on Environmental Stewardship, and resource protection through the England Catchment Sensitive Farming Initiative.

ADAS is working on behalf of Natural England with a number of partner organisations to deliver training and advice through one to one visits and practical farm walks and workshops. These farm visits and events will explain to farmers and land managers how they can participate in the Environmental Stewardship Scheme, or provide best practice advice to improve the wildlife, landscape and habitat value of their farm, and to protect the natural resources of soil and water. Catchment sensitive farming events will focus on specific issues for the reduction of diffuse pollution by improved nutrient, soil and water management, or improving farm infrastructure.

Events are being held on a range of arable and livestock farms for both conventional and organic producers. Farmers wishing to register for an event can contact ADAS by emailing ecsfdi@adas.co.uk or by telephoning 08453 713399
