Knowledge Transfer and Advice Programmes

ADAS is distinctive in the way it delivers knowledge transfer and advice programmes such as Catchment Sensitive farming for Natural England and Farming Connect for the Welsh Assembly Government. In doing so we draw on the cutting edge scientific research, policy research and consultancy we provide for government and commercial clients in our core markets. Group dynamics; Communication; Extension; Environmental advice

Trained project and programme management staff bring together skilled staff to deliver efficient technically in depth programmes to dispersed target client groups.  The breadth of the ADAS technical offer means that we can assemble delivery teams that contain a wide range of technical competence to meet the needs of our clients.

Theories of communication and behaviour change are applied and used to underpin the design and delivery of these services in addition to our experience developed over ADAS’ 60 year life.

The foundation of much of what we deliver is built on our intimate understanding of how farm businesses work, obtained through our Farm Business Consultancy offer of Whole Farm Consultancy using support software unique to ADAS, such as our ADAS Touchstone Benchmarking programme, which uses real-time data and a unique cash flow and profit forecasting programmes.
